County finance staff asked the INR subcommittee to reallocate savings and interest from the 2022A general obligation bond issuance to cover shortfalls in several capital projects.
"We're asking to transfer $700,000 for the animal animal care center additions and $610,730.21 to the Public Works Complex expansion," Finance staff said, and explained an additional $200,000 would be moved from savings in several fire/EMS projects to expedite the Presswood fire station preconstruction design. The packet contained a corrected resolution reflecting the revised amounts.
A councilmember moved to accept staff's recommendation; the committee voted in favor. Staff said the funds come from bond insurance savings and interest earned on the 2022A issuance, and the transfers are a corrective/expedite action to keep these capital projects moving.
