District considers CLEAR residency-verification tool at a $14,964 annual cost, Title IV to cover year one

Justin Krueger presented CLEAR from Thomson Reuters as a residency-verification system the district could use to streamline enrollment. He said CLEAR "automatically verifies most residencies; approximately 200 families per year are expected to submit documents manually if residency is not verified through the CLEAR process." Krueger noted the annual cost of $14,964 and that Title IV funds would cover the first year and partially fund subsequent years. The committee agreed to place the item on the December Board meeting agenda for Board consideration.
Staff characterized CLEAR as a tool to simplify registration documentation and enhance operational efficiency following consolidation of the Bursar and Library Aide positions. The committee asked staff to present further implementation details and cost projections for later Board discussion.
