Justin Krueger briefed the committees on the FY2026 Round 1 School Maintenance Project Grant, noting the program opened in October and offers a dollar-for-dollar state match of up to $50,000. He said applications are due on January 30, 2025, and described planned uses as life-safety work and possibly replacement of an air-handler unit. The committee agreed to put the application on the November Board agenda for approval.
Committee members indicated support for pursuing state maintenance funds to address deferred facility needs. The administration emphasized that available funding is matched dollar-for-dollar and recommended projects be scoped to align with the grant's requirements prior to Board approval.
