Brewer also requested an accounting change for Community Corrections: that the department’s Sam's Club credit account be processed through the county utility claims cycle to avoid late‑payment issues tied to the card’s billing schedule. The board approved that payment method by the same 2‑0 vote. The award and payment‑processing approvals were presented as administrative actions in support of public‑safety and recovery services in the county.
