Assistant staff and councilmembers discussed funding sources (paving, stormwater, water/sewer) and a previously budgeted placeholder of $2,450,000. "Dollars $2,450,000 is 65% of what Wright's bid is. What's missing is the remaining 35 percent," said Mike Flanders during public comment; councilmembers agreed to move forward and to address the shortfall in future budget discussions.
Council approved the motion to proceed with the project and directed staff to finalize contracts and financing details; members asked for a follow‑up at the next meeting with firm numbers and funding sources.
