Woodruff board approves 90-day trial of online booking and scheduling system

Joel Marler proposed using a shared Google calendar/Workplace account so council members and staff could see pavilion and town-hall bookings, add contacts, and avoid double bookings. He framed the system as a central place for reservations, checklists and a lightweight time sheet for maintenance staff.
Marler moved to run the online booking/scheduling setup on a 90-day trial to evaluate utility and work out problems; another council member seconded the motion and the board voted in favor. “I’ll make that motion to implement this for 90 days and see what bugs we can work in or out of it,” Marler said before the vote. The council directed staff to add email addresses and start a shared note of questions and improvements while the trial runs.
The board also discussed linking the booking page to the town website and using the clerk’s workplace account for payments and booking pages if the trial is successful. Staff will report back after the 90-day pilot with recommendations for long-term adoption.
