Library board discusses landscaping project funding; preliminary estimate cited at $400,000

The Coralville Public Library Board discussed potential funding sources for a proposed landscaping project during its July 8 meeting. Director Alison Ames Galstad said she had not yet received an updated design or new cost estimates from the design team (Confluence) and urged the board to consider the library's trust and agency account as one option because that account is currently healthy.
Board member Lisa Mellecker reported that Sherri Proud does not expect the project to come in for less than $400,000. Galstad noted the Library Foundation Board is also discussing possible financial support and that she will have more information from Confluence soon.
