Sherri Proud, a Parks & Recreation representative for the City of Coralville, told the Arts Commission on Feb. 3 that staff are "working on the budget right now. We are trying to position ourselves for opening the new facility in 2–3 years." The department is also seeking a new food proprietor for the municipal golf course.
Proud said the Plaza on 5th Board is pursuing two projects: a lock-and-security system and repairs to rooftop ERVs that run the building's air conditioning. She said the ERV work "will be about a $40k fix, and might require a special assessment." The commission also heard that design engineers are being brought in to identify and address ongoing humidity issues in the building.
