Recorder Natalie K. Haddix moved to adopt the town’s FY 2026–27 general revenue budget at the March 24 council meeting; Councilor Charlene Louk seconded the motion. A roll call recorded 'Yes' votes from Councilors Rick Lafferty, Karen Phillips, Charlene Louk, Sam Maxson, Recorder Natalie Haddix and Councilor Shawn Spurlock, and the motion passed unanimously.
The council had previously reviewed the proposed general revenue budget during a budget workshop on March 16, 2026. The adoption completes that process and allows staff to proceed under the newly approved revenue assumptions for the coming fiscal year. The meeting minutes record that the FY2025 audit was completed and submitted to state and federal authorities the week of the meeting; Treasurer Leslie Cummings told council the audit would be emailed to members by the end of the week.
