Citizen candidates Tony Morrison Jr., Jessica Fisher, Ronald Avery, Christina Martin and Drew Bryant were appointed to the committee; Morrison led initial voting with five votes, Fisher and Avery each received four, and a run-off resolved tied spots so Christina Martin and Drew Bryant secured seats after run-off tallies. Commissioner Kelvin Gilbert said commissioners had been frustrated in the past by the lack of written guidelines for committee members; Town Manager Barbara Hollerand said staff would work with the new Parks and Recreation Director and committee members to develop duties and written guidelines.
