Justin Krueger told the committee some clubs are inactive yet retain fundraising balances while active clubs are low on funds; he suggested moving surplus funds from inactive clubs to active clubs, student council and graduating class accounts. He emphasized that these monies are from club fundraising and not public funds; the proposal will be considered at a future meeting.
Kathy Eckmann said she negotiated a reduced renewal price with Edmentum; the renewal amount is $56,658.75 and will be presented to the Board next month. Michael Dugan said he attended a Sales Tax Referendum meeting at the ROE and reminded the committee that the district cannot attempt to persuade voters; staff discussed preparing a factual flyer explaining ballot options and where revenue could be allocated, and sharing that material with unions in accordance with guidance.
