Staff reported that existing terrazzo in the main entrance vestibule and lobby is very slippery and recommended installing carpet tiles over the surface. Benchmark Lobby Flooring quoted $10,439.11; staff said tiles can be removed later and individual tiles replaced as needed, with runners placed in high-traffic areas. Sean Huffstutler said he will check warranty details and estimated tile life at 7–10 years.
In the same agenda item, staff reported that 28 windows have blown seals and Cardinal has provided an estimate for repair; that work is scheduled as a summer project. Both the flooring purchase and the window repairs were recommended to be placed on the December Board agenda for approval.
