District staff recommends Wayground license after negotiated price cut

Andrew Piske told the joint Finance/Buildings & Grounds Committee that Wayground — an assessment platform that integrates with Google Classroom and Clever and performs automated grading — has become the most requested tool among teachers and rising in district use. He said the district hopes to phase out EdPuzzle and adopt Wayground more broadly.
Piske said he negotiated the price down to $8,000 per year from $16,000 if the district pays three years in full up front. "The hope is that Ed Puzzle will be phased out and replaced with Wayground," he said. The committee recommended placing the license agreement on the December Board agenda for Board approval. The procurement will return to the Board for a final vote and contract authorization.
