Hononegah recognizes students and staff; athletics posts strong fall results
Summary
The board recognized student contributors to the strategic plan and IHSA state athletes and honored two nurses for emergency care. Athletic Director reported 38 All-Conference athletes, four conference MVPs and 338 winter sport registrations.
At the Nov. 19 meeting the board presented certificates to students who participated in the Strategic Plan update and to IHSA State athletes, with President Dave Kurlinkus conducting presentations. Nurses Kelly Schmitz and Dakato Arthur received certificates for quickly ensuring a staff member received critical care.
Athletic Director Andrew Walters reported a Fall Snapshot that included 38 All-Conference athletes, four conference MVPs (Kylie Simpson, Lacey Foss, Harper Powell, Eric Flohr), two Conference Coaches of the Year, three conference championships and one regional championship. He also reported 338 athletes registered for winter sports and summarized upcoming start dates for individual winter teams.
