City Circle Theatre sets fall and summer dates; auditions, parades and outreach planned

City Circle Theatre reported one final weekend for The Drowsy Chaperone, casting and dates for Newsies (July 17-19 & 24-26), Come From Away auditions (May 15-16) with a Sept. 11 opening, and participation in local events including 4th Fest and the 5th Street Social.
Amy Sundermann of City Circle Theatre told the commission the company has one more weekend of The Drowsy Chaperone and described upcoming seasons and outreach: Newsies has been cast and will perform July 17-19 and July 24-26; Come From Away auditions are May 15-16, with rehearsals starting in July and a scheduled opening on Sept. 11. Sundermann also said City Circle will participate in the 4th Fest parade and the 5th Street Social on Aug. 8.
Commissioners suggested ways to promote season tickets and individual shows, including having the Newsies cast hand out fliers at community events. A Volunteer Appreciation event is planned in September.
