Commissioners accept Port Clinton site manager resignation, authorize three hires

The Board accepted the resignation of Colleen Brindle, Port Clinton Site Manager, effective April 24, 2026, on the recommendation of the Director of Senior Resources. The action was approved unanimously on a motion by Commissioner Donald A. Douglas and a second by Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler.
The board also authorized three hires: Madisen Barna as a part-time Port Clinton Site Assistant effective April 29, 2026, at $13.50 per hour for up to 25 hours per week; Evan Hurrell for a Summer Seasonal Laborer position effective May 11, 2026, at $19.70 per hour contingent on a criminal background check, BMV driving check and pre-employment drug test; and Heaven Lohmeyer as an intermittent CPS Fellowship student worker at $16.00 per hour with a maximum of 26 hours per week and an expected completion date of December 2026. All hiring motions passed by recorded vote.
