Council Member Shaun Murray said the lawn deterioration reported to the council was caused by an irrigation timer not being turned on. Public Works Director Ben Mower added that an irrigation pump had been leaking and was shut down this spring; the pumps will not be rebuilt and irrigation water has been redirected to Serenity Park.
Mower said water used at the redirected location must now come from the culinary water system. The minutes record these as operational updates; no motions or budget approvals for repairs or replacement were recorded.
