District administrator Michael Dugan reviewed the formal approval process: an application, a staff sponsor, at least 15 interested students, and a presentation to the Co-Curricular Committee (the next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.). If the committee recommends approval and the board ratifies, the club serves a two-semester probation (monthly meetings required for the first two full semesters) before becoming a recognized club with sponsor compensation. One parent, Matthew Hippman, alleged the district's sophomore curriculum violates a Presidential executive order; that claim was raised during public comment and not resolved during the meeting. Board President Dave Kurlinkus thanked attendees for respectful participation and did not announce any immediate changes to the club process.
