Neighbors raise traffic concerns as council rezones site near Colonial Boulevard (possible Costco relocation)

One neighborhood speaker told the council, "You've just spent $72,700,000 creating the intersection at Colonial and, I travel that every day as many of us do," and urged the city to require plantings or privacy walls at the residential edge.
Planning staff told council that rezoning is a straight rezoning (conditions cannot be added at rezoning) and that any site access will require separate permitting and coordination with FDOT and Lee County. Council directed staff to be mindful of neighbors' concerns as the project advances through site‑plan and permitting steps.
