County approves oversight of multiple JFS contracts for residential and IV-E services

On July 28 the Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved oversight for multiple Department of Job and Family Services contracts addressing residential treatment and IV-E services. The board accepted oversight of Contract 2026-63 with Foundations for Living (JFS will pay $450 per diem effective July 1–7, 2026), Contract 2026-67 with Defiance Job and Family Services for IV-E services in the amount of $4,000 (effective July 14–Dec. 31, 2026), and Contract 2026-68 with T&S Youth Project for IV-E services in the amount of $85,000 (effective July 1–Dec. 31, 2026). Each resolution passed by a 3-0 vote.
Commissioner R.J. Lumbrezer and Commissioner Jeff Rupp joined Commissioner Joe Short in approving the oversight motions. The resolutions cite JFS statutory responsibilities under Chapter 5153 and record contractual terms and effective dates; the board recorded the motion to authorize oversight rather than directly executing JFS program operations.
