Separately, the board discussed the Smile Mobile dental program operating on school property; staff said the mobile clinic works with partners (including Delta Dental and Seattle Children's) and accepts Medicaid to provide screenings and follow-up so students miss less class time for dental care. Members said having on‑site services helps students return to class the same day and limits instructional time lost to travel.
