Member Kristine Haataja led a discussion on developing an onboarding process for new Behavioral Health Board members that would include assigning Executive Committee mentors, providing the Board Member Guide, and creating a brief orientation document to cover responsibilities, procedures, and Brown Act requirements. The Committee agreed to continue developing mentorship and onboarding plans for future consideration.
Chair Patricia Sullivan led review of the proposed 2026 meeting calendar and recommended rescheduling meetings to avoid holiday conflicts: move the November Behavioral Health Board meeting from November 11 to November 4; move the November Executive Committee meeting from November 26 to November 19; and move the December Executive Committee meeting from December 24 to December 17. The Committee also reviewed the draft July 8 BHB agenda and confirmed upcoming presentation topics and dates.
