Fair Association representative Supervisor M. Roche reported that summer help for the fair has been hired and will start June 29. The committee discussed marketing of the county-owned wireless provider at the fair and considered whether WCCH would allow other departments to use the hospital booth during scheduled times to improve visibility for county services.
Supervisor Roche said the Arts Council contacted the fair about renting the fairgrounds for an arts and crafts show; the dairy show was noted as upcoming. Supervisor Smith suggested creating written guidelines for use of the fairgrounds. The minutes also note the fairgrounds are winterized from September/October through May.
