Committee authorizes paving and resurfacing contracts for county facilities
Summary
Wyoming County Public Works Committee awarded bids for asphalt paving and resurfacing at the Animal Shelter, Fire Training Center, Health Department and 448NM, approving four separate contracts with named vendors and recorded votes.
The committee on May 28 authorized four paving/resurfacing bid awards to different contractors. The Animal Shelter project was awarded to Ruston Paving Company, Inc. for up to $33,624.00; the Fire Training Center milling and resurfacing to Thomann Asphalt Paving Co. for up to $23,576.00; resurfacing at the Wyoming County Health Department to Spallina Materials, Inc. for up to $152,985.00; and the 448NM parking project to Thomann Asphalt Paving Co. for up to $52,678.75. Motions for each award were made by Supervisor Roberts and recorded as Ayes 5 with two supervisors absent (Leuer, Rudgers).
County Administrator S. Schrader advised that, administratively, contracts could be consolidated under Thomann based on best value, but Director Adamczak noted that the county would award to the lowest responsive bidder when timing required. The bid awards carry MUNIS contract references where provided; the committee voted to move each award forward as recorded in the motions.
