At its July 14 meeting, the Niles City Council approved several administrative and procurement items.
Council approved Rose Street Advisors of Kalamazoo as the City’s employee benefit broker and consultant, with the cost budgeted in the General Fund and Utility Fund. It approved a Building Official Services Agreement between the City and Scott Saunders WSS Inspections, LLC and authorized city administrators to sign. The council also approved purchase of one WatchGuard M500 digital video recorder with hardware from Motorola Solutions for $9,198, budgeted in the Vehicle Capital Outlay account.
Other administrative items approved included the January 16, 2024 International Code Council Fee Schedule and an agreement with Cornerstone Alliance for $4,940 to participate in a countywide needs assessment (to be paid from Council contingency funds). All items passed by recorded roll call votes with no nays.
