Metamora adopts rules for use of Village Square

The Village of Metamora Board of Trustees adopted an ordinance Feb. 3 to establish rules and requirements for use of the Village Square, intended to work in conjunction with a staff-developed events application.
Attorney Brunton told trustees the proposed rules are "very standard." Trustee Nauman moved to approve the ordinance and Trustee Bowers seconded; the motion carried 5–0. Brunton noted that rules in the ordinance will be reflected on the forthcoming event application.
The board approved the ordinance as presented; staff will incorporate the ordinance rules into the events application currently under development and return to trustees as needed for implementation details.
