Planning Board adds 'Tiny Home' definition for Town Meeting consideration

Article 4 would add a definition of 'Tiny Home' to section 229-6 of the Zoning Ordinance. Planning Director Robyn Payson presented the proposed definition; the Board voted unanimously to recommend the article for the Town Meeting ballot.
Article 5, discussed later in the meeting, would add Tiny Homes to the Chart of Uses and permit them in residential zones except the Historic District. Members said the definition and permitted locations were intended to provide clarity for prospective small‑home development.
