The Quillayute Valley School District board approved a predesign advisory committee to guide work on the proposed Forks Middle School replacement. The committee will meet monthly (third Thursday evenings, 5:30–7:00 p.m.), with seven meetings planned and the possibility of expanding to eight or nine depending on progress; dinner will be provided at meetings.
Superintendent Diana said most potential candidates have confirmed participation and the district expects to include a recent Forks High School student who previously attended the middle school to provide perspective. She said the committee will include a middle-school teacher (pending confirmation), two parent representatives, student and teacher reps, and up to two board members. The board approved the committee after a motion and second.
