Allen County Highway Director Bill Hartman presented an architect agreement with Martin Riley Inc. to design replacement of truck lift stations at the county's north and south highway maintenance barns. The architect contract is not to exceed $39,350; Hartman told the board the total project cost is expected to be about $1,150,000. The commissioners approved the agreement 3-0 (mover Ronald Turpin; second Therese Brown).
The design work will precede construction and Hartman indicated both maintenance barns will receive new lift stations. No construction schedule or funding source beyond the contract amount was specified in the session record; the architect agreement authorizes design to move forward.
