Mount Carroll council approves amended June minutes and $51,538.93 in payments

Mount Carroll Mayor Carl Bates presided over a July 8 meeting at the Davis Community Center where the council approved amended minutes from the June 24 regular meeting and authorized payment of accounts payable totaling $51,538.93.
Alderman Jeff Elliott moved to approve the amended minutes; Alderman Jeff Soenksen seconded. The roll call vote on the minutes was recorded as six yes, zero no, and the motion carried. Later the council voted on a Finance Committee recommendation to pay 33 accounts payable items totaling $51,538.93; Alderman Paul Kaczmarski made the motion and Alderman Jeff Elliott seconded. That vote also passed 6–0.
The votes were all roll call votes recorded in the minutes. No amendments or dissents were recorded for either motion.
