A staff member told the Wilmington City Council that the applicant for a continued special-use permit for a private recreation facility at 4950 Holly Tree Road has withdrawn the proposal, so the scheduled quasi-judicial hearing will not proceed.
"Mister mayor, actually, this matter is gonna be withdrawn. The applicant has indicated they're withdrawing the item and so it won't be before you," a staff member said, and staff confirmed adjacent property owners will be notified if the applicant resubmits the application. The council did not take a vote on the item; staff said it will be brought forward only if a new application is filed.
