The decision leaves the April 7 declaration in place. The record accompanying the resolution says rural fire departments and law enforcement observed improved conditions because of recent precipitation, but commissioners declined to remove the formal restriction at this time. The resolution's formal language concludes "Failed this 19th day of May 2026."
