Council awards $1.94 million contract for 2026 asphalt maintenance to Bose Construction

The City Council voted to award the 2026 asphalt maintenance contract to Bose Construction, the low bidder at $1,939,086.05, for a project that includes paving on 11th and 13th Avenues, Madera Avenue, Regency Court, Pheasant Run Circle, portions at the landfill and removal of the hill on 20th Street South.
City Engineer Charlie Richter said the work will be coordinated with Brookings Municipal Utilities for water and sewer work on 11th Avenue and 20th Street South. Richter reported bids were opened May 5 and sufficient appropriations totaling $2,690,000 exist in capital projects and related funds.
The council made a motion, opened the item for public comment (none), and approved the award by roll call.
