Tom Myers, filling in for Chair Bill Olsen, opened the Select Board meeting by announcing a slate of volunteer vacancies across town commissions and committees. He said the openings include one seat on the Affordable Housing Trust; two on the Conservation Commission; one on the Council on Aging; two on the Community Preservation Committee; multiple openings on the Historic District Commission (two three-year terms and two two-year terms, with one seat reserved for a resident of the historic district and one reserved for a resident realtor); one opening on the Hamilton Environmental Impact Committee; and one at-large seat on the Human Rights Commission.
Those interested in serving are expected to follow the town’s standard appointment procedures, Myers said. The board did not take action during the meeting to fill any seats; members noted that some vacancies have role-specific residency or professional requirements that the clerk will confirm before recruiting for candidates.
