Highway Superintendent Brian Gustad told the commission the county will begin culvert projects this week and that some roads may be closed during the work; he said he will notify the Sheriff’s Office and the public if closures occur. Gustad reported the county received four preliminary engineering grants and will meet with the South Dakota Department of Transportation to coordinate work and funding.
Gustad said he expects to complete the chip seal project this week. The commission did not vote on an action item tied to today’s highway report; the update was provided as part of routine department head reports.
