County receives $1.888 million award for Bridge #64; orders small-structure inspections contract

Stephanie Klarer, assistant superintendent, asked commissioners to sign the title page on stage #3 plans for Bridge #93 and Bridge #110; the board approved signing as presented. Klarer also presented an award letter for Bridge #64 (on 400 N, east of 700 E) that covers utilities, construction and inspection up to $1,888,000 and said an RFP for preliminary engineering and right-of-way work will be issued soon.
Klarer presented a contract with USI Consultants to inspect small structures. The department identified an inventory from 2016 with about 150 structures that will serve as the baseline; the inspection contract was estimated at roughly $60,000 (about $350 per structure). Commissioners approved the contract pending county attorney approval.
