The Brookings County Commission approved a range of routine but formal actions during its May 19, 2026 meeting. The following outcomes were recorded on roll call or voice vote:
- Resolution 26-18 (Lot 14A, Country Club Estates): approved unanimously after recommendation from the Brookings County Planning Commission (May 5). - Resolution 26-19 (Ponto addition): approved unanimously after planning commission recommendation. - Resolution 26-20 (Paradise Pointe addition): approved unanimously after planning commission recommendation. - Resolution 26-21 (Heffner Knoll Addition): approved unanimously after planning commission recommendation. - Abatement 26-16 (Darlene M. Kuchmeister, parcel 40999-0011-076-01): approved ($115.76). - Abatement 26-17 (late elderly tax freeze): approved ($140.52). - Renewal: Dance Land Campground — on/off sale malt-beverage & South Dakota Farm Wine license: approved. - Renewal: Brookings Country Club — retail on/off sale malt-beverage & Farm Wine license: approved. - Fireworks public-display permit: City of Volga for 06/12/2026 at Meadow Creek Golf Course: approved. - Donation: $500 to the Elkton Special Days Committee for July 4 fireworks: approved.
All items above were supported by motions and seconded; planning-related resolutions had been unanimously recommended by the county planning commission at its May 5 meeting and were approved by roll call in this meeting.
