He also asked the city to state whether it intends to reappoint the at‑large member (Ron Wick) after Dec. 31 and whether it will accept Councilman Dan Moore’s offer to remain as a designee after he leaves council.
The supervisor criticized a local report by a public‑media reporter that he said mischaracterized who would represent the county in mediation, urging reporters to seek clarification before publishing. Board members discussed bylaws permitting appointment changes and generally agreed the proposed short-term appointment could be made without a public hearing; a formal vote to make any such appointment was not recorded at the meeting.
