Board reallocates FY23 CIP funds to cover sheriff Bearcat invoice and courthouse project

County staff told supervisors that the invoice for a previously ordered Sheriff's Office Bearcat came in at roughly $4,346,000 and that existing FY23 CIP and ARPA set‑asides left a shortfall. Ryan Erickson proposed reallocating about $32,970 from the records-management project and repurposing completed Sheriff's Office project funds (about $34,382) to seed a courthouse project.
Erickson said the combined reallocation would fully fund the Bearcat invoice. Board members moved and seconded the reallocation actions and approved them by voice vote, 5–0.
The board did not hold a separate public hearing on the reallocation; the action was taken as part of routine CIP housekeeping and to clear the outstanding invoice for the vehicle.
