On hiring, Alderman Paul Kaczmarski moved to hire the list of candidates presented: Street Department Foreman Mark Traum; Chief Operator Streets & Parks Tyler Bausman; Cemetery Maintenance Matt Updike; Park Maintenance Bob Irons; Pool Manager Stephanie Hughes; and multiple lifeguards listed by name. The hires were approved by roll call vote, 6–0. The council recorded the appointments without further discussion of individual candidate qualifications.
