The Select Board voted unanimously on July 20 to authorize Town Administrator Mari Enoch to sign the MassDOT contract associated with a Municipal Small Bridge program grant of $488,078.43 for repairs to the historic keystone bridge on Campbell Falls Road. The board also voted to authorize Chair Tara B. White to accept the Phase 2 construction agreement for the same amount.
Mari Enoch said the contract with MassDOT is valid through Dec. 31, 2027, the repair is fully engineered and in the final permitting stage, and that construction is expected to begin in spring 2027 and conclude in fall 2027; the town anticipates a temporary road closure during the work. The board recorded the motions and roll-call votes: the motion authorizing Mari to sign the MassDOT contract passed with Tara B. White, Bill West and Maggie Arian voting aye; a separate motion authorizing the chair to accept the grant passed unanimously.
