Mayor Karen Lithgow read three proclamations at the April 27 meeting recognizing municipal clerks, public-service employees and public-works professionals. The council proclaimed May 2026 as Municipal Clerks Week in honor of Kathleen Dominguez (town clerk, on the phone) and deputy clerk Maria Rios; the council also recognized May 3–9 as Public Service Recognition Week and designated the May week as National Public Works Week (66th annual).
The proclamations were ceremonial and acknowledged staff contributions; no votes were required beyond council acceptance of the agenda and consent items that followed.
