New Marlborough updates recycling procurement policy to comply with DEP

The Select Board voted May 18 to approve an updated Environmentally Preferred Policy required by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Chair Tara B. White said updating the recycled-product procurement policy, which was last approved in 2021, will allow the town to earn points for various grants to purchase materials for the Transfer Station.
The policy update was approved unanimously (motion by Tara; seconded by Maggie). Documents associated with the meeting indicate the updated policy and the 2021 Recycled Product Procurement Policy were part of the packet for review.
