The presiding officer updated the Benton City Council that stakeholder groups are nearly ready to submit a purchase-sale agreement covering an old rail bridge and related property. He said most terms are agreed and that the railroad is still completing paperwork before the city receives final documents.
"They're pretty much ready to submit a purchase sale agreement... there are couple of little things they had to work through. They basically agreed on pretty much all the terms... and had a report back from the railroad," the presiding officer said. Council asked staff to keep them informed and the presiding officer said he would provide an update when more paperwork arrives.
No formal action or vote on the project was recorded in the transcript; council was given a status update and asked to await further details from staff and the railroad.
