The New Marlborough Select Board on May 18 authorized the Town Administrator to sign a contract with Project Planning Professionals (P3) to serve as the Owner’s Project Manager for the Town Hall renovation. The board approved a fee proposal of $49,500 covering the first two phases of work, which include designer selection, programming, schematic design, and design development through 50% construction documents.
Dan Pallotta of P3 told the board that an advertisement for a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design services has been posted and that an optional walkthrough at Town Hall was attended by four design firms. "Qualifications are due on June 3," Pallotta said. He added that the goal is to complete plans by the end of January 2027 and work with town boards and committees through the spring in anticipation of a spring Town Meeting vote. The board voted unanimously to authorize the contract (motion by Tara B. White; second Bill West; Maggie Arian also voting Aye).
