IDA highlights Tri Trades and inaugural "Manufacture Your Future" events that reached hundreds of students

Jill (speaker 8) said Tri Trades on April 16 attracted about 575 students and 31 exhibitors, and the new 'Manufacture Your Future' event engaged roughly 80 students from seven districts.
"We had our largest crew of students, 575 students attend this year," Jill said, adding that exhibitions included welding, heavy equipment and renewable energy companies. Jill said the Manufacture Your Future event partnered with Alfred State College and included hands‑on activities; IDA staff plan a debrief to improve logistics for year two.
Board members and staff framed the events as part of broader workforce efforts to keep students local and expose them to career pathways in construction and manufacturing.
