County updates: 90‑unit Park Grove housing near Erwin, Curtis School closing in June

"It's a 90 unit housing project in Erwin... they are looking to close in May and start construction, very soon thereafter," Jamie said, noting the project had county infrastructure support and a preconstruction meeting in recent weeks. Jamie said the project comprises 10 separate buildings and described the units as higher‑end market (garaged units) with market rents referenced by another board member.
Jamie also updated the board on the Curtis School redevelopment, saying the project will use New York Forward and Restore New York funding and is slated to close in June; demolition and abatement work is already underway. The IDA and partners continue to coordinate incentives and approvals, Jamie said.
Board members asked whether plans developed years earlier were still being used for Urbana waterfront and other projects; Jamie said prior waterfront planning served as the backbone for current New York Forward proposals.
