Oak Ridge Fire & EMS reports 70 incidents in July; new medic unit nearing deployment

Azariah, speaking for Oak Ridge Fire & EMS, told the council the department continues to make progress on operations and training and that a new medic unit is nearing full deployment but still requires DMV registration and an Oregon Health Authority license.
On incident counts, Azariah said: "There were 10 fire calls and 60 EMS calls for a total of 70." He also reported 22 transports, 28 nontransports, and an adjusted transport rate of 69%. Councilors asked about reported repairs to a ladder and were told by staff that Chief Scott Hallett had confirmed the vehicle did not need a new ladder but did need a lanyard and two other repairs were pending after inspection.
