The Library Director’s report recorded at the Jan. 15 meeting stated that circulation has declined because of an inventory stall related to the closure of distributor Baker and Taylor and a shortage of new titles. Trustees noted that new books arrived this week and planned promotional outreach.
Trustee Marlene Hambleton will continue promoting the new materials to patrons. The board reviewed year-to-date circulation and budget figures as part of the operational report and agreed to monitor circulation trends alongside upcoming acquisitions.
