Procurement presented the remount scope — removing and refurbishing the ambulance box, replacing flooring and cabinetry, testing electrical systems, and installing the refurbished box on a new chassis — and explained ARV’s role as an authorized remount facility for American Emergency Vehicles (AEV).
Paul Gibson, Division Chief with EMS, said the county’s remount schedule is currently on a roughly 24‑month cycle and staff hope to shorten that schedule with ARV’s expanded capacity. Gibson said Sedgwick County has received remounts from ARV and was “extremely satisfied” with their work. The board moved to utilize the HGAC contract and recorded ayes in the available roll‑call segments.
